About

Hi, I’m Zozi. This is my essay blog. I’ve written about a number of topics including mental health, learning disability, feminism, storytelling and austerity politics.
I adore books and animals and a lot of other things.
The blog started in 2014 with my series on mental health and creativity, originally written for the Banderola.
I’m a SOAS graduate with a BA in History of Art, now living in South London. I’ve published poetry, stories and articles in various places including The Huffington Post, The Rialto and Myths of the Near Future.

“The sitting posture of Michelangelo’s Moses is said to have been necessitated by the compact form of the block of marble he had to work with; Divine is always being presented with odd-shaped marbles that make her achieve masterpieces.” – Genet, Our Lady of the Flowers
